Making decisions about graphics is the final set of decisions you must make before actually starting the creation of your document:

• Will you use black and white, grayscale, or color?

• How will the document be printed?

• What types of graphics will you use?

• How will you prepare your graphics?

• Where will they be placed within the page(s)?

• On which layer will the graphics be placed?

• Will graphics be numbered? have captions?

Prepare all graphics and caption styles ahead of time.
