After making basic design decision, decide the following text decisions:

• Will you be using a template or wizard?

• What font face will you use for headings, body text, captions, etc.?

• What font size will you use for headings, body text, captions, etc.?

• What font style will you use for headings, body text, captions, etc.?

• What rules will you use for using bold, italics, underline, etc.?

• What line spacing will you use?

• What margins, gutters, alleys, etc. will you use?

• How will you number pages? Will you use Roman Numerals for front matter? Where will you position page numbers on the page?

• Will you create a title page? a table of contents? other front matter?

• Will you create a bibliography? a glossary? an index? other back matter?

• Will you need headers and footers? Will they be the same throughout or will you need running headers and footers? Will headers and footers be suppressed on some pages?

Create styles to meet your text decisions above.

Create all the text to be pasted into the document.
